The beach looks west, on the north coast of the island, a Caribbean shore. It sits on the northern flank of Montego Bay, slightly closer to the opening than the town centre beaches: it shares the same broad shelter, with the width of Jamaica screening it from rafts driven by the easterly trades, but with one layer of protection fewer.
