What to know about this beach
Facing north, the beach takes whatever drifts along this coast, with no eastward headland shielding it. Set against that, it belongs to Jamaica's Caribbean-facing shore, away from the main track that carries rafts in from the eastern Caribbean, and rocky points close the small bay at either end.
The river mouth is the local variable. Freshwater leaving the beach keeps a steady outward movement along its channel, so floating material has a harder time settling right there.
