What to know about this beach
An islet does not have one exposure, it has several. The eastern side, open to the ocean, takes the trade winds and the drift head on, and that is where rafts pile up first. The sheltered side, turned towards the bay, often stays clearer on the same day. On a rock this small, walking round to the other shore can change the whole outing.
The wider setting is still the east Atlantic. Le Robert's coral barrier softens the swell without filtering the weed, which comes in through the passes and then circulates between the islets with the wind.
