What to know about this beach
A few degrees of orientation are enough to change everything. Turned north-east, Gaviota Azul sits slightly off the line followed by rafts driven in by easterly trade winds: the headland closing the zone to the north, and the curve of the shore itself, cut off part of the supply whenever the wind blows from the east or south-east.
That shelter is partial and conditional. As soon as the flow swings to the north-east, the beach falls back into the firing line and can take more weed than its southern neighbours, which are then tucked in the lee of the point. Its daily reading is worth taking on its own terms rather than inferring it from the rest of the zone.
